Free Transport and accommodation. (This was considered the best dive trip in 2002 and 2006. In 2006 and 2007 we had whales breaching beside us and vis around 15 to 20 metres. With vis so good it was not unusual to have over 30 seals beside you at once and at one time we had around 100 seals at once.)

The Plan

Turn up at my place Thursday afternoon / night and have everybody geared up. You can phone your sizes in during the week beforehand and I will pack your tub for you. Pick up from most places around Wollongong on the Thursday afternoon. Leave early Friday morning. Friday, 1 shore dive on the way down, probably Basspoint, Kiama Sponge Gardens or Bawley point. On the 2009 trip we dived Honeymoon Bay in Jervis Bay. (This is to get people properly weighted and use to their equipment) Double boat dive with the seals early Saturday and Sunday, the reason for this is that usually the wind blows offshore in the morning making the sea nice and smooth, less likelihood of people getting sea sick. An onshore breeze may come up in the afternoon, hence the early dives!!! (Boat we use pictured below.)

Accommodation

Thursday night at my place, Friday through to Sunday, 2 houses over looking the ocean have been rented just outside Narooma. (One house pictured below, the other behind this one.) House 1 - Roadside 4 BRM sleeps 12 2 x QUEEN, 8 SINGLE, 2 Bathrooms, just a short stroll to the water, upstairs living area with great views. Fully self contained.
House 2 - Beachside 3.5 BRM sleeps 10 2 x QUEEN, 3 SINGLE, 1 Devane, 1 trundle, 2 Bathrooms, downstairs living area with great views and just a short stroll to the water. Fully self contained.

Cost

For Pete’s Dive Club Members $380.
Members with their own gear and transport $280.
Non members $690. ( It pays to belong)

Membership is available to students and the general public.

Air fills - $5.50
Advanced Courses - $200.00. Note: Advance course fee may change as materials rise; Theory must be done beforehand.
Torch with batteries & glow stick - $14.00.
Food - Bring breakfast and snacks, everything else best to eat out.
